David Cerquetti is an Italian composer and songwriter based in Los Angeles, specializing in film and television scoring. He is the CEO of Evander Productions, a film and music production company dedicated to innovation, new technologies, and fostering emerging talent.
At the age of 21, he scored "Hunting Ava Bravo," his first feature film, which climbed Amazon Prime to be the #7 most streamed film in the world during the summer of 2022. Since then, in just 4 years, he scored more than ten feature films and his career has grown rapidly both in Italy and the United States, collaborating on internationally acclaimed projects. His most recent work, The Krampus Rises, brought him to the prestigious Sony Pictures Studios, where the film's audio post-production took place. The score, recorded over five sessions and totaling 80 minutes of original music, will be released alongside the theatrical debut of the highly anticipated film, which brings the legendary figure of Krampus to the global screen. Among his Italian projects, Buio Come il Cuore, a noir thriller directed by Marco De Luca, stands out, with its score nominated at the 2025 World Soundtrack Awards, earning recognition for its emotional depth and distinctive harmonic language. His recent score for La Terza Volta, which premiered at the Rome Film Festival, continues this signature synthesis of emotional resonance and technical boldness. As a songwriter and music producer, he has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Amélie Hois, Lorenzo Licitra, Benedetta Caretta, Tommaso Colliva (one Grammy), Marco Liba and others.
