Ana Songel

Ana Songel is an award-winning stop-motion director and animator based in Glasgow, Scotland. Ana was commissioned by GMAC Film and Screen Scotland to make her first commissioned stop motion 'I Miss Hugs' (2021), which was nominated for several awards and screened in BAFTA and Oscar-qualifying film festivals such as Glasgow Short Film Festival & Spark Animation. In 2022 she was commissioned by the Screen Scotland and BFI Network-funded scheme Sharp Shorts, to make her second stop-motion short film 'Peace of Heart'(2024). She is also a BAFTA Prince William Bursary recipient and an interdisciplinary artist who creates iconic animation and miniature work for commercials, short films, and social media.
