Her films have won 37 awards and 123 selections at Film Festivals in 25 countries - India, USA, UK, Canada, France, Russia, Italy, Bhutan, Venezuela, Germany, China, Romania, Nepal, Austria, Turkey, Singapore, Indonesia, Egypt, Greece, UAE, Bulgaria, Sweden, Japan, Netherlands, Portugal and Belgium.

    Swati is from India and has a Master's degree in Business Administration. She has 15 years of Corporate experience in Marketing, Operations, HR, Strategy and Innovation. She has been an Independent filmmaker for 6 years and has worked with cast and crew from 7 countries for films. She did a film making program at Barry John Acting Studio, New Delhi, India. She further went on to study film making at New York Film Academy, Los Angeles Campus, USA. New York Film Academy has also written a blog on her success.

    Her films are based on real life situations, incidents and people. She likes to pick human stories which have a global appeal. Her film New Heaven, which won several awards, talks about aging and its effect on one's self worth. Her film - Chitthiyaan - The Letters, is based on real life story of a woman in an Indian village in 1971, who didn't know how to read or write but wanted to communicate with her husband who was in army and posted at the border. Another film, Digital Age talks about the relationship between a father and daughter, their struggles to connect amid generation gap.
