  • Pablo César is Argentine, born in Buenos Aires. He started making films at the age of 13 when his older brother José María, who was a short filmmaker, gave him a Super 8mm camera and taught him the first techniques to film.

    Between 1975 and 1984, Pablo made twenty short films and two long feature films in Super 8mm, entitled "From the Faces of the Mirror" (1982) and Diary of a madman (1984) based on the story of Nikolai Gogol.

    From 1987 Pablo César started in the professional cinema being his first long feature 35mm "The Holy Family" (1988) shot in Argentina. Pablo César long feature films are all shot in 35mm, he is still shooting in 35mm.

    Then "Equinox (the garden of roses)" (1991) which was the first co-production Argentina-Tunisia. After was "Grey Fire" (1993) The soundtrack of the movie has been composed and performed by famous rock Argentinean artist Mr Luis Alberto Spinetta, he made 17 songs for the film. Some scenes were filmed in Cape Verde. "Unicorn (the garden of fruits)" (1996) first co-production Argentina-India. "Aphrodite (the garden of perfumes)" (1998) first co-production Argentina-Mali. Blood (2003), "Hunabkú" (2007), "The Shores" (2010) first co-production Argentina-Benin. "The Gods of Water" (2014) first co-production Argentina-Angola and Ethiopia. "The Hidden Sky" (2016) first co-production Argentina-Namibia. "Thinking of Him" (2017) Argentina-India co-production. "The Call of the Desert" (2017) the first Argentina-Morocco co-production. Actually is on shooting of 2 new long feature films "The Day of the Fish" in co-production with Ivory Coast, and "History of Two Warriors" in co-production with Togo.

    Throughout his cinematographic experience, since 1990 he has been co-producing with African nations and with India creating cultural, industrial, commercial and training links.

    He is a professor at the University of Cinema in Buenos Aires since 1992 specialized in the "Production and Marketing" and "The Cinema of Author".
