The Protomen are a concept band based in Nashville, Tennessee that compose and perform a rock opera about tragedy and hope in an Orwellian city. With nearly a dozen members, they are perpetually on tour and are always performing in-character for an avid international fanbase. Their sound, style, and story are informed by nostalgia for 1980s music, films, and video games. Formed in 2003, they are one of the most renowned acts in the nerd rock and video game music genres.
