  • Iris Otten (1977) is a producer at Pupkin, where she is highly involved in both development and production, guiding writers and directors in the challenging process of creating. She feels privileged to own the opportunity to bring hopeful, heartwarming and humorous stories to inspire new generations.

    Iris graduated as a producer at the Netherlands Film and Television Academy in 2001. Her graduation film Alfred's Maassen's Last Day was selected for Cinéfondation, Cannes. After working for several different production companies, she became partner at Pupkin in 2009.

    Over the years, she has built an impressive track record in producing artistic feature films and family content that possess international appeal. Amongst others, the multiple Golden Calves winning films The Peter Pan Man (Michiel ten Horn & Anne Barnhoorn) and We will never be Royals (Mees Peijnenburg & Bastiaan Kroeger); the Emmy nominated productions Boys (Mischa Kamp, Jaap Peter Enderle & Chris Westendrop) and Penguins and Pastry (Tallulah H. Schwab & Lineke van de Boezem); and the Tiger Competition selected debut features Quality Time (Daan Bakker) and Take me somewhere nice (Ena Sendijarevic). In 2019, the family series Seven Little Criminals (Rob Lucker, Jaap Peter Enderle & Chris Westerndorp) received the Golden Calf for Best Television Drama. Last year, the debut feature film Paradise Drifters (Mees Peijnenburg) premiered at the IFFR and Berlinale.

    Iris is working on the family series Lampie is in pre-production. Lampie is based on the award winning book of Annet Schaap, directed by Margien Rogaar and written by Mieke de Jong
