Biography

Brice Blanloeil

Mini bio

  • Brice Blanloeil is a French music-video and commercial director born in Pessac, France in 1981.

Having grown up in the theater world thanks to his father Yvan, theater director, Brice naturally moved towards art and more precisely cinema, once he graduated from high school. After obtaining an assistant editor diploma issued by E.S.E.C in Paris and a master's degree in performing Arts from Bordeaux Montaigne University, Brice won a scholarship for U.C.L.A

In California, he took his first steps in the production of films and video games during a 6 months internship at One Race Films and Tigon Studio, Vin Diesel's former production companies. This is where he had his first professional experiences in writing, directing and producing under the tutelage of those he considers his mentors, Cos Lazouras, Georges Zakk and Samantha Vincent.

Returning to France in 2006, he became Sébastien Jaudeau's assistant director on Steam Boat films series for Arte "La Collection Design".

In 2007, Brice founded King's Fool with High School friend Jean-Sébastien Viot which quickly led to the band's first album "Surrounded by Fools".

In 2009, Brice embarked on a new adventure by settling in Barcelona, where he learned Spanish, while leading audiovisual projects as a director.

In 2012, After a several months's work in London, Brice moved again in Bordeaux. From there, he specialized in advertising and artistic video, locally, nationally and internationally. At the same time he continued his musical project Lucy Dans le Ciel with his father (who started it in 1972) and also became member of Aquinum's board of directors, association of digital professionals in Aquitaine.

In 2019, Brice launches the audiovisual collective Moonflake which brings together a wide range of technicians and authors from the field.
