- In 1943, he wrote with Michael Carr the English lyrics of the French song "Qu'est-ce qu'on attend pour être heureux ?" which were written in 1938 by André Hornez with the music of Paul Misraki. The title became "I Love To Sing" and the song was sung by Vera Lynn in Rhythm Serenade (1943).
