- Don Josephus Raphael Eblahan (b.1996, Philippines) is an independent film writer/director born of Ifugao and Visayan descent. He is known for films such as Umbilical Cord to Heaven (2019), Remedy (2021), and The Headhunter's Daughter (2022).
In 2019, Eblahan attended the 55th Chicago International Film Festival for his short film, Umbilical Cord to Heaven, winning Cineyouth's Best Experimental Film. In 2021, Eblahan's Hilum had its world premiere at the 43rd Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival at Clermont-Ferrand, France where it won the International Student Jury Prize as well as a Special Mention from the International Jury.
The Headhunter's Daughter had it's world premiere at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival followed up by a European premiere at the 44th Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival as part of the International Competition.
Eblahan is based both in La Trinidad and Chicago where he also practices as a musician, composer, and a graphic artist.
