Biography

Shrysh Zutshi is an Indian actor and writer born in Kashmir, India. His work spans acting, filmmaking, and creative production, with a focus on regional cinema and internationally relevant storytelling.

He began his professional journey in Mumbai, initially establishing himself in the fashion industry. In 2003, he was a finalist at Grasim Mr. India, following which he worked as a model for international brands including Louis Vuitton, and collaborated with leading Indian designers. This early exposure to performance and visual storytelling became a natural gateway into cinema.

Shrysh formally trained as an actor and theatre practitioner, earning a Postgraduate Diploma in Acting from Actor Prepares, Mumbai (2006). Alongside acting, he developed a strong foundation in theatre, performance, and character work, which continues to inform his screen presence and creative choices.

Expanding beyond acting, he gained extensive experience behind the camera as a reality producer and creative producer, contributing to feature films, television formats, commercials, and digital projects. This phase provided him with a comprehensive understanding of film production, creative development, and the business mechanics of the entertainment industry.

As a writer, and independent producer, Shrysh directed his short debut with "The Mourners" (Kashmiri language), which was officially selected and screened at the CFC- Cannes Film Festival in 2015 and circulated across the European film festival circuit. The film reinforced his belief in the global relevance and creative strength of regional-language cinema.

With over 15 years of experience, Shrysh Zutshi remains deeply committed to the craft of acting. He is actively open to roles that challenge him emotionally, physically, and psychologically, and continues to seek character-driven projects that allow him to explore the full range of human experience through performance.

In addition to his work in film, he is also an author. His poetry collection, "Waqt-e-Corona," reflects his literary voice and is available on Amazon.
