Joshua 'Li'iBoy' Shintani was born on June 24, 1983 in Oahu, Hawaii, USA. He was an actor, known for Shallow Hal (2001). He died on November 25, 2015 in Kauai, Hawaii, USA.

Joshua died on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, after doctors discovered he was battling advanced pneumonia. TMZ reported that Joshua's mother rushed him to an emergency room early in the week. A local Hawaiian news paper headline for Joshua Shintani - "Star of Shallow Hal" dies at age 32.

Appeared in only one feature film, Shallow Hal (2001), starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Jack Black. Shintani played Li'iBoy, performing "Never Forget Where I'm From" on the ukelele with Jason Alexander's character seated nearby. Co-director Peter Farrelly was vacationing in Hawaii when he discovered Shintani, a ukulele-player extraordinaire. A high school senior at the time, he was playing his ukulele outside a public library when Farrelly happened to drive by. He was flown to Los Angeles for a screen test and landed the part immediately.

Was a dead ringer for New York Mets pitcher Ron Darling.
