Biography

Lily Valley Compton (19) is an award-winning youth director and filmmaker in the Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania Area. Lily has been making films since she was 8 years old, competing in 48-hour film festivals and claiming many awards such as "Best Director," "Best Screenplay," "Best Cinematography," and many more. Lily’s horror film Misdiagnosed (2017) was a "Special Selection" in the Lancaster International Short Film Festival. Her most recent short film titled Seventeen (2025) recently won the Student Emmy for "Long Form Fiction" and was nationally recognized.

Her first feature film Moonscape (2025) is in distribution through the festival circuit.

Many of Lily’s films explore topics of femininity and childhood nostalgia, and with her many years of improv training, she manages to balance humor and the many different emotions of the performers.
