Kathleen Lancaster is an actor, writer and filmmaker known for portraying intelligent, grounded women navigating extraordinary circumstances. Her work spans drama, suspense and comedy - both in front of and behind the camera.
She began her career performing in Los Angeles and New York. Her screen credits include Law & Order: SVU, The Closer and When Zachary Beaver Came to Town, which premiered at both the SXSW and Tribeca Film Festivals. She has also appeared in dozens of national network commercials.
Kathleen trained with renowned acting teachers D.W. Brown in Los Angeles and William Esper in New York, carrying forward the Meisner tradition. Alongside her dramatic work, she has an extensive comedy background, studying improvisation with Donovan Scott, teaching improv at the Larry Moss Studio, performing with Masters of the Obvious at The Bitter Truth Playhouse in Los Angeles, and continuing to perform at ColdTowne and Fallout Theater in Austin.
As a writer and filmmaker, Kathleen develops character-driven stories that blend suspense, humor, and heart, exploring courage, identity, and the extraordinary resilience of ordinary people.
