Biography

Eric Paulsen is a Milwaukee-based radio and TV personality, writer, producer, and entrepreneur. He is known for co-hosting the travel TV show "Discover Wisconsin" as well as hosting the midday show on classic hits station WRIT-FM in Milwaukee. He is a partner in media and production firm Wellstream Media, which owns travel website StateTrunkTour.com and several Internet Radio stations. He wrote segments for the TV show Health Corner (2004) (2004-2009) as well as travel pieces for Best Western hotels following Route 66 and road trips through a variety of US states. He appeared as himself, talking about the unique origin of Wisconsin's highway system, in Cheeseheads: The Documentary (2015) (2015). He hosts two podcasts: the EricCast and the State Trunk Tour Podcast. Paulsen can also be seen in several national and regional commercials.

Was an original partner of the first startup company to use online-only methods for radio station music research and movie trailer audience testing. The company, Troy Research, landed at #367 on the "Inc. 500" list of the "Fastest-Growing Privately-Held U.S. Companies" in 2004.

Lettered on the track team at Plano East Senior High School in Plano, Texas, where Lance Armstrong was a teammate.

While working a job in communications, drove Ed Begley Jr. between the Milwaukee Airport and a downtown conference where Begley served as keynote speaker. Paulsen drove him because Begley requested a ride via hybrid or fully electric vehicle, and he was the only one on staff who drove a hybrid at the time.
