Mirya Royal

Daughter of Dave and Nancy Dyer Mitton. Niece of TV's most
controversial Newsman Geraldo Rivera and C.C. Dyer Mitton. Mirya Mitton was
born in 1974 in the small sailing community of Marion, Massachusetts.
The daughter of an Award winning author and painter Nancy Dyer Mitton.
Mirya was very motivated to act as a child by getting involved in plays
at Tabor Academy in her hometown of Marian. In 1997 Mirya graduated
Emerson College with a BA in Mass Communications concentrating in Film.
During this time Mirya interned for Prelude Pictures and Hollywood
Pictures.
Shortly after school Mirya worked on Good Will Hunting (1997) sparking a good friendship with Ben Affleck. With extensive knowledge in writing and filmmaking behind her, Mirya was now set to pursue her original dream of becoming a film actress. Mirya moved to Los Angeles in 1997 where she studied with Michelle Danner at Larry Moss Studios and teaching tennis at Tennis LA. One of Mirya's students included Michael Rapaport (True Romance, Beautiful Girls). Mirya moved on to Stella Adler Technique which she still embraces today.
While taking several intense acting classes she met filmmaker and former boyfriend Andreas Brandy in her apartment building. Drew was very impressed with Mirya's knowledge in Super 8 and 16mm filmmaking and began a partnership with her in independent filmmaking. In 1999 Lotto Lizards (2000) (15min short) was selected to be in a DVD film festival in Park City where Mirya and Drew met Kevin Smith. Kevin Smith and Drew Sky where both being interviewed by 'Entertainment Tonight'. After the interview Kevin Smith encouraged Drew and Mirya to send 'Lotto Lizards' to his production company, View Askew in New Jersey. 'Lotto Lizards' is currently in over 2000 video stores around the country. In 2001 Blue Sands Entertainment Group and Flatline Pictures picked up _Planet of the Pitts (2002)_. Mirya plays the lead role of an American Sweetheart / A celebrity Diva who portrays John Wayne's wife "Pilar Pallete".
