Biography

Shan White, CEO and founder of "Let's Talk Real Talk", created this organization to help women free themselves in a careless world. In these seminars, women are free to express and converse with each other about real-life problematic issues that they are facing in a safe, judge free zone. This organization was inspired by the popular quote among women of color " What goes on in my house, stays in my house." White could see through the blurred lines of this common phrase. Most of the women in her community uses this phrase as a shield for the adversity which they are facing within their households that were considered either too shameful or even downright taboo to be discussed. Shan White then created the organization with hopes to empower women to courageously be able to openly discuss their issues. It would be a sisterhood of like-minded women sharing their experiences and taking solace in the fact that each woman would know that they wouldn't be facing their troubles alone. White also has a strict confidential code that the women must swear to under a moral oath before joining the "Let's Talk Real Talk." Shan White believes women should stop smiling in front of the camera and pretending that things are okay. Instead women should have a safe outlet to talk about their troubles in a way they can heal together and move forward.

When she's not cooking delicious meals or bringing smiles and laughter to almost everyone's face that she encounters, White likes to take her free time to help others as well. Whether it's sound advice, a shoulder to lean on, acting, cooking for the local funeral home, making tee shirts, working on her clothing line, or encouraging others to have faith in God, Shan White manages to be a huge part of the lives of the people in her community. Shan White stands to be a role-model and and an important, outstanding leader in her community.
