At 22, John emerged as one of the promising young talents of the Swedish film industry, working as a 1st AD on hit shows such as Gåsamman, Fartblinda, Veronika and further more on the Åre Murders and the Helicopter Heist opening at number one on Netflix. As time went by, John grew into his role, establishing himself as one of the premiere 1st ADs in Scandinavia, working with acclaimed directors such as Jonas Alexander Arnby, Daniel Espinosa, Mikael Håfström and Kasper Barfoed.
Meanwhile, John started exploring his artistic expression writing, directing and producing his own short films. In 2022, John debuted as a director in the longer format with his featurette Såna som jag förändras aldrig/People like me never change, winning second place out of 6800 competitors in the London Director Awards and sweeping the competition at the Best Shorts Competition in California winning Best Film and Best Director.
In 2025, John directed the new season of Swedish hit show the Sandhamn Murders and in 2026 he is developing his first full-length feature film while establishing himself on the commercial market, as well.
