Canadian Producer & Media Executive
Ashraf Ali is a Canadian producer and media executive known for his work in feature films, documentaries, and factual television. He produced the award-winning feature film Khorfakkan (2020), which was theatrically released across the Middle East and later distributed on Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video. His documentary productions include Urban Solutions; Green World, Fields of Tomorrow, Sharjah Safari, Sir Bu Nu’ayr Island; Nature's Haven, Mleiha; A Story of A Human, and Falaj Al Dhaid.
Working across Canada, Europe, and the Middle East, Ashraf has led international productions and co-productions focused on sustainability, heritage, culture, and environmental storytelling. Productions produced and supervised by him have collectively received more than 33 regional and international awards.
In addition to his producing work, Ashraf previously served as Head of TV Programs at Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, where he produced and supervised more than 168 television programs, and currently serves as Media Consultant while leading independent production initiatives through Sharq Media Production.
