Born in Cork, Ireland, Ailish started out in the industry as an actress, starring in major theaters like The National Theatre London, The Lyric Theatre, Belfast and The Gate Theatre, Dublin. Now London based, she is a successful writer, producer, director under her married name, Ailish Castillo. Her production company, Lionbear Films, has had projects win awards in festivals such as, Raindance, Chicago Irish Film Festival & London Irish Film Festival to name a few.
