Judith Lessard-Bérubé
Judith Lessard-Bérubé is a Senior Marketing Advisor for Animation at the National Film Board of Canada (NFB), bringing two decades of experience in communications, cultural marketing, and large-scale project management.

A specialist in the positioning and promotion of animated and documentary films, she has led the marketing campaigns for more than fifty productions and co-productions at the NFB. Since 2021, she has focused her expertise on international animation campaigns, contributing to three Academy Award nominations and to the success of The Girl Who Cried Pearls, winner of the 2026 Oscar for Best Animated Short Film.

Recognized for her strategic vision and ability to mobilize stakeholders, she has supported more than twenty documentary filmmakers and directed several high-profile campaigns, including that of Félix Rose’s Les Rose. The film became one of Quebec’s five biggest box-office successes in 2020 and won the Iris Audience Award at the Gala Québec Cinéma, marking the first time a documentary film had received that distinction.

Trained in classical ballet and having also worked as a contemporary dance performer, Judith Lessard-Bérubé holds a degree in Philosophy from Université Laval and a degree in Management from HEC Montréal.
