  • Farah X is an acclaimed Pakistani-American director and editor, known for her impactful storytelling and work with icons like Prince, Mariah Carey, and Beyoncé. Her award-winning projects consistently highlight women's narratives, particularly those of women of color. Farah's work has been featured at prestigious festivals such as Tribeca Film Festival, SXSW, and AFI Docs, and is available on major platforms like Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, and Amazon. Her debut feature-length documentary, The Remix: Hip Hop x Fashion, premiered to critical acclaim at Tribeca Film Festival 2019 and went on to win numerous Best Documentary awards at international film festivals before being acquired by Netflix. Farah also directed the docu-series SeeHer: Multiplicity, part of the SEEHER campaign, which earned a Gracie Award for Original Online Programming - Video Series National, as well as Gold and Silver Telly Awards. She directed an episode for Hulu's celebrated docu-series Rap Caviar Presents and premiered her short documentary Mamba's Murals at Tribeca Film Festival 2023 as part of the Sports Explains the World series.
