  • Mélanie Elliott is a Canadian actress born in Montreal, Canada. She has acted in numerous short films and independent films. She was trained in realistic acting with Gilles Plouffe and John Strasberg. She landed her first role in Carl Ulrich's feature film Stéphanie, Nathalie, Caroline and Vincent. Filmmaker Patricia MacDowell entrusted her with the role of a troubled young woman who finds hope in through athletic competition in Sweeping Forward, which won the Audience Award for Best Canadian Film at the Montreal World Film Festival. Mélanie Elliott co-wrote, with AGLA Médias, 8 TV episodes on her photographic odyssey around James Bay. She is the host, narrator and photographer of Focus Baie-James, a program broadcast on Savoir Média. She also signs the narration of a few other documentary programs produced by AGLA Media and Knowledge Media, such as Les Grands Bouleversements, A chapel named Ozias Leduc and Beau temps, Mauvais temps. She played the lead role of Dorothy in The Nomads of Oz, an experimental film that won the 2013 Canada International Film Festival (CIFF) Royal Reel Award and the 2013 Atlanta Underground Film Festival (AUFF) Best Experimental Feature Award. In 2020, she played a leading role in the film Toutes Les deux by Noël Mitrani.
