Emilia Michalowska is a Toronto-based actor, writer, and producer originally from Vancouver. A graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts (BFA) and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AA), she trained extensively in both theatre and film before building a career as a multi-hyphenate creative across stage and screen.
Emilia wrote, produced, and starred in the short film You Don't Read Enough (2024), which won Best Short from Up North at the 2024 Hamilton New York International Film Festival and screened internationally at Fantasia, the Vancouver Short Film Festival, Swan Perth, and the Toronto Polish Film Festival. She went on to produce and star in The End (2025), created through Firecracker Department's Comedy Igniter challenge, which also screened at Fantasia, Truth & Dare Series at Hot Docs & The Couch Film Festival. Her first web series, Coco Again? (2023), marked her Toronto debut - a six-episode, self-produced clown comedy about a young woman navigating city life, co-created with Noa Kozulin.
Additional credits include Turtle Finds North (dir. Natalie Paton, TIFF Next Wave), and The Gene Pool (starring Veronica Slowikowska, streaming on NoBudge). Emilia also continues to perform live sketch and improv with her duo troupe Truffle Chips, while developing her first feature film.
With a background spanning over a decade in performance and several years in filmmaking, Emilia is establishing herself as a versatile artist whose work blends comedy, character-driven storytelling, and a passion for bold, original projects.
