Cam McHarg

Cam McHarg grew up in the rainy working-class neighborhoods of the Pacific Northwest in the United States. A divorce and a broken home led him to move and attend a new school. McHarg first began acting after being encouraged by a counselor to audition for the drama club to stay out of trouble. He quickly got the lead in a school play that toured every middle school in the city. After graduating high school and a short stint in the Marine Corps, he moved to Seattle and won a scholarship for his work to study at the former Lee Strasberg Acting Workshop, taught by Douglas Dirkson.

McHarg then moved to Los Angeles, and began observing at the West Coast branch of The Actors Studio. He appeared onstage in dozens of plays with the West Coast Ensemble, the 3rd Street Theatre, and Moving Arts based at The Los Angeles Theatre Center. He later earned a BFA in film at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, where he was a shortlisted winner for the Cannes Young Director Award.

McHarg went on to write, direct, and/or act in multiple award-winning short films that garnered success at international film festivals. He has most recently appeared in Spaghetti Junction (2023), directed by Kirby McClure, and Zero (2024) (Winner of Best Film in the Orbita [action/thriller] category - Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival), directed by Jean Luc Herbulot.
