Biography

Michelle Lundy became an actor by accident. After a friend repeatedly encouraged her to submit for background work in a casino commercial, Lundy finally gave in on the last night of submissions, sending a photo of herself in pajamas with her hair pulled into a ponytail. Fifteen minutes later, she was booked.

What was supposed to be a day of background work took an unexpected turn. As the shoot progressed, the director began placing Lundy in additional scenes, and the client ultimately expanded her involvement into a television and print campaign. Soon afterward, the agency called her into its office and offered to represent her as talent. Lundy reminded them that she had no acting experience. They wanted to sign her anyway.

She quickly discovered that she loved the work. While continuing to book jobs, Lundy began intentionally developing her craft, volunteering at a local film college and becoming involved in community theater. Her career has since included film, commercial and industrial productions, theater, voice-over and modeling.

Lundy brings a grounded, natural presence to her work and is frequently cast as professionals and maternal figures, including doctors, lawyers and mothers. She also has a particular strength for comedy, with a naturally deadpan style that contrasts with the authoritative characters she is often asked to play.

Years after an accidental first booking, Lundy remains drawn to acting for many of the same reasons she fell in love with it in the first place: the people, the versatility, and the opportunity to step into something completely different with every new project.
