Tom O'Connor was born on October 31, 1939 in Bootle, Liverpool, Merseyside, England, UK. He was an actor, known for Tom O'Connor (1977), ITV Saturday Night Theatre (1969) and Doctors (2000). He was married to Patricia Finan. He died on July 18, 2021 in Wexham Park Hospital, Slough, Berkshire, England, UK.

Is the father-in-law of Denise Lewis (British Olympic heptathlete).

A former schoolteacher of maths and music, he once taught at the same school as the father of Anne Robinson of "The Weakest Link" fame.

His son and daughter managed many music groups together including All Saints Five, Madness and Ice T.

He was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2007.

When I grew up as a kid in wartime Merseyside, I never dreamed I'd have a career that started as a schoolteacher, went to folk singer, then country and western singer, stand-up talker and TV presenter. I've been lucky.
