Biography

Grégoire Hetzel is a french music composer born in Paris who studied piano at Paris Conservatory.

He has scored for the canadian director Denis Villeneuve (''Incendies'' - nominated at Oscars 2011), french directors Arnaud Desplechin (''Oh Mercy!, ''Ismael's Ghosts'', ''My Golden Days'', ''Kings and Queen'', ''A Christmas Tale''), Mathieu Amalric (''The Blue Room''), Catherine Corsini (''An Impossible Love'', ''Summertime'', ''Three Worlds''), Cédric Anger (''Next Time I'll Aim for the Heart'') and Mathieu Demy (''Americano'') and japanese Kiyoshi Kurosawa (''Daguerrotype'').

He has been nominated four times at César Awards: ''Oh Mercy!'' directed by Arnaud Desplechin (César 2020) ''An Impossible Love'' directed by Catherine Corsini (César 2019) ''My Golden Days'' directed by Arnaud Desplechin (César 2016) ''The Tree'' directed by Julie Bertuccelli (César 2011)

In 2013, he wrote his first opera "La Chute de Fukuyama", along with French writer Camille de Toledo. The piece was played in Paris at Salle Pleyel by the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France.
