Biography

Originally from Georgia, Kaylee Hottle came from an all-deaf family, spanning four generations of deaf relatives on her father's side. Her native fluency in American Sign Language provided her with opportunities to perform in commercials such as the Glide app public service announcement (directed by Jules Dameron, 2016) and "Mother's Day" (for Convo Relay, 2017). She appeared in "10 Deaf Children: One Powerful Message" (directed by Sheena McFeely and produced by ASL Nook, 2018), and starred in the film Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) as Jia.

On July 21, 2026, she died in a car crash in Maryland when the 1995 Honda Accord went off the road because of excessive speed and hit a culvert in Ijamsville, 7 miles close to Frederick County, before 3 a.m. Although she was transported from the scene to an area trauma center, she was later pronounced deceased. She was 18 years old.
