Holly Knight was born in New York, USA. She is known for Stuber (2019), Small Soldiers (1998) and Drive Angry (2011).

Wrote songs "(Simply) the Best" and "Better Be Good to Me" that were recorded by Tina Turner. "The Best" (1989) went on to become a Turner anthem having been earlier turned down by British pop star Paul Young.
