Biography

Ekaterina Moskvina (also known as Kath Moskvina) is an award-winning filmmaker, musician and producer based in England. She studied filmmaking in Moscow, where she began developing a multidisciplinary creative practice that blends cinematic storytelling with music and visual experimentation.

Alongside her work as a filmmaker and video editor, Moskvina is an accomplished guitarist, singer and songwriter whose musical background strongly informs her visual style. Her projects are often characterised by a fusion of cinematic structure, atmospheric sound design and emotionally driven narratives.

In 2019, she won the Best Film of the Festival (Spring Edition) award at the AltFF Alternative Film Festival in Toronto, Canada, for her short abstract documentary Superstar Inside of Me. Her work explores themes of identity, inner conflict, resilience and the human experience.

In parallel with filmmaking, Moskvina has gained international recognition as a musician, producing and arranging her debut album Rebirth independently. Her music has been featured on BBC Introducing, and her performances have attracted attention from established artists, including Muse, who featured her in the official compilation for their track "Unravelling."
