Josef Wenig was born on 12 February 1885 in Stankov, Bohemia, Austria-Hungary [now Czech Republic]. He was a costume designer and art director, known for Dáma s ruzí (1919), Na vysoké stráni (1921) and Filosofská historie (1938). He died on 8 June 1939 in Prague, Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia [now Czech Republic].
