Sharon Hagle
Astronaut Sharon Hagle completed her flight on Blue Origin's New Shepard NS-20 on March 31, 2022, as a member of Crew 4. Joining Sharon on the flight was her husband, Marc Hagle, making them the first married couple to fly to space on a commercial vehicle along with four other crew members.
On November 22, 2024, Sharon and her husband completed their second mission, making them the only married couple in history to return to space twice. During this flight, they conducted two NASA-approved experiments; a BioButton, worn on L-2 (two days before launch), recorded vital signs throughout the mission, while another experiment focused on tying ropes in microgravity to prepare for stabilizing payloads without the tension caused by gravity.
After purchasing her ticket with Virgin Galactic in 2007, Sharon has completed Zero Gravity training at Kennedy Space Center, NASA training at (NASTAR) and the Russian Cosmonaut Space Training at Star City, Russia. Her mission is to fly with all three private space companies.
In 2015, Sharon founded SpaceKids Global, a non-profit organization, to inspire elementary students in STEAM fields ensuring girls are equally presented.
