Biography

Milton H. Greene was born on March 14, 1922 in New York City, New York, USA. He was a producer, known for The Prince and the Showgirl (1957), The Paris Collections: Fall Fashion Preview (1968) and Love, Marilyn (2012). He was married to Amy Greene-Andrews and Evelyn Franklin. He died on August 8, 1985 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Made his early career as a photographer. In this role encountered the young Marilyn Monroe. Took her pictures and they had an affair of about a week, remaining friends afterward. Later helped her to get free of her contract with 20th Century Fox and together they formed a 51-49% production company: Marilyn Monroe Productions in 1956. This produced one film before the partners parted ways.

His first wife, Evelyn Franklin, later married Richard Avedon.

Father of Joshua Greene. Ex-husband of Amy Greene-Andrews.
