Tanya Kim began her television career at MuchMusic. From there she was
an interviewer for CTV's the Chatroom and a correspondent for the first
two seasons of Canadian Idol. Kim has interviewed top pop culture icons
Cher, Coldplay, David Bowie, Diddy, Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and
Kanye West
In Kim's role as host of etalk, she has become known as a top entertainment reporter in Canada. She has had many exciting opportunities including hosting red carpets at the JUNO Awards, the Oscars®, and backstage at Live 8 Canada. In July 2007, Kim reported live from London during both the Concert for Diana and Live Earth and also reported entertainment news from the Vancouver 2010 winter Olympics for CTV. Kim, along with etalk co-host Ben Mulroney, have hosted Free The Children's We Day youth empowerment events in Toronto and Vancouver.
Kim is passionate about charity work. She supports a number of charities in various roles. She is involved in MusiCan, an organization that provides instruments to schools across the country and is also a board member of Blessings In A Backpack, which provides meals for school-aged children in Canada and the US. In 2008, Kim traveled to Zambia as a spokesperson for CARE Canada to launch the I Am Powerful Campaign.
