Corey Rae

Corey Rae is a transgender actress, director, writer, and producer. Known as the world's first openly transgender prom queen, Corey centers nuanced, joyful, and authentic trans stories on screen. She launched Rae of Light Productions in 2023 to elevate trans voices throughout development and release. In the summer of 2025, Corey acted, wrote, and directed three short films, further expanding her body of work behind and in front of the camera. Beyond her creative projects, she regularly speaks and consults to educate cisgender audiences about transgender experiences and uses her platform to support those navigating gender identity and transition. Her own high-school transition and prom-queen milestone is in pre-production as a feature film titled "Queen." (Pronouns: she/her)
