- Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York City, Shawn Mintz discovered his passion for the performing arts at an early age. He attended a Montessori private school from kindergarten through fourth grade, where he immersed himself in full-scale productions, musicals, and plays-sparking his love for acting and dancing. Alongside school, he became a dedicated member of the Marble Collegiate Church community, where his talents flourished further through choir and various performing arts opportunities.
He deepened his artistic foundation by training at the renowned Henry Street Settlement, studying improvisation, dance, and theatre movement. By high school, it was clear that acting was more than a hobby-it was his calling. He attended the Urban Assembly School for Media Studies, honing his craft in a creatively charged environment, and later pursued a Theatre major at Queensborough Community College to continue developing his skills on stage and beyond. Aswell as being a proud member & affiliate of The SAG-AFTRA Foundation.
