Tanya has a diverse entertainment background starting with writing a
book when she was 10. She wrote "Word by Word", a collection of short
stories and poetry by 21 and wrote her first dramatic action script at
UCLA at 24. She also went to The New School in NYC and studied with
famous author Jill Hoffman. She later studied in Arizona with published
authors, Tom Bird and Carol Adrienne. Tanya learned script coverage at
WME with Adam Novak and the following few years were spent behind the
scenes at Fox TV and Ministry of Film learning how to be a hands on
producer with Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerick (Stargate, Godzilla,
Independence Day). Tanya was hired to write a treatment for an HBO 1
hr. show. Her recent script Gingerbread, placed in 4 of the top
screenplay competitions. She's seen the gamut from casting to scene
revision and loves it all! Tanya manages a talented team of
screenwriters and is the CEO of her production company Awareness Films.
