Pedro Caiano is a freelance director, producer and editor with over 20 years of experience in the film and audiovisual industry. He has a degree in Sound and Image from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Pedro has an extensive portfolio, having worked on a variety of projects, including feature films, short films, soap operas, music videos, documentaries and advertising films.
From 2019 to 2020 he was an Image Control Operator and Camera Operator for RTP in the Norte Production Center.
Pedro also acted as a specialist consultant for Esaf-Bes and Banif in the Cinema and Audiovisual Fund - F.I.C.A. between 2007 and 2011.
From 2006 to 2008 he was first assistant director on 3 SIC soap operas for a total of 500 episodes.
From 2003 to 2005, he was Supervising Cinema and Video Technician at the Serralves Museum, in Porto.
Pedro Caiano's short film "Pano-Cru" premiered at the Fantasporto2003 International Film Festival and won several awards, including 1st prize for Best Fiction Video at the Festivideo2003 Video Festival and Best Fiction Film at the Rio de Janeiro Short Film Festival. Porto, o Corta 2004.
