  • Scott Stapp (born Anthony Scott Flippen;) is an American singer, songwriter, and musician best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Creed. With Creed, Stapp has sold over 55 million albums worldwide, earning a Grammy Award for Best Rock Song with "With Arms Wide Open" in 2001. The band's multi-platinum albums My Own Prison (1997), Human Clay (1999), and Weathered (2001) produced numerous chart-topping hits and established them as one of the most successful rock groups of their era. In addition to his work with Creed, Stapp has pursued a solo career, releasing albums including The Great Divide (2005), Proof of Life (2013), and Higher Power (2024). His 2012 memoir, Sinner's Creed, details his life and career while offering reflections on resilience and personal growth. Beyond music, Stapp is the founder of the With Arms Wide Open Foundation, a charitable organization supporting children and families in need.
