- Scott Stapp (born Anthony Scott Flippen;) is an American singer, songwriter, and musician best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Creed. With Creed, Stapp has sold over 55 million albums worldwide, earning a Grammy Award for Best Rock Song with "With Arms Wide Open" in 2001. The band's multi-platinum albums My Own Prison (1997), Human Clay (1999), and Weathered (2001) produced numerous chart-topping hits and established them as one of the most successful rock groups of their era. In addition to his work with Creed, Stapp has pursued a solo career, releasing albums including The Great Divide (2005), Proof of Life (2013), and Higher Power (2024).
