Cameron was adopted from Dalton, Georgia in 1997 and raised in Long Beach, California. At age seven, she and her family moved to Queensland, Australia, where she discovered a love for acting. She began performing in school musicals in fourth grade and soon started taking acting classes outside of school.
In 2013, Cameron was accepted into the Queensland Academy for Creative Industries, where she attended grades 10-12 with a focus on Theatre and Film. In her final year of high school, she began exploring play-writing and wrote and starred in her original play, Labelled. The production earned her Best Actress, Best Play, and a $1,000 bursary in recognition of her work in the arts.
Cameron went on to earn a BA in Acting from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), where she was the youngest in her class. During her three years of training, she played a wide range of roles, including Celia in Shakespeare’s As You Like It and Blanche DuBois in Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire.
Cameron holds dual American and Australian citizenship and is based in Los Angeles, California.
