Developed fatty liver disease, which he blamed on a diet of fast food. However, he later admitted in 2017 that he had a longtime alcohol abuse issue since the age of 13, which was never disclosed in his documentaries such as Super Size Me (2004).

Was rejected by the film school at USC five times.

Took him a total of 14 months to lose 24½ pounds he gained from eating McDonalds.

Graduated from NYU with a film degree in 1993.

He gained 25 pounds eating nothing but McDonald's for a month for Super Size Me (2004).

Stuff can make you feel good, but you have to do something deeper to make you feel whole. For me, it's making movies with a great team who feel as fulfilled as I do, and spending time with my family. And for my family it's Mane and Tail Shampoo ..all the way.
