Biography

Shyama Shree Sherpa is an Indian actress and model. She originally hails from Singtam, Sikkim but resides in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She completed her education by earning a B.A. (Hons) degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the Shri Shikshayatan College, Calcutta University.

In 2018, the versatile artist played a role in Tabrez Noorani's Love Sonia, a film based on real life events. This was followed by her appearance in 'The Last Hour' in 2021. She portrayed the character of Roopa in the TV series.

Shyama also appeared in several feature films like Pressure Cooker, Mann Ko Kura, Shape of Momos, etc. She also did a few Hindi serials including Surabhi for Jay Mehta Production House.

Shyama Shree shot into the limelight after attending the Cannes Film Festival in France, representing India with the Sikkimese movie 'Tara- The lost star', which was selected to be screened at the cinema market on 20 May, 2024.

As a result, the maverick actress received great recognition and accolades. She impressed one and all with impactful performances to craft her own niche. Shyama Shree enhanced her credentials to emerge as one of the most sought-after artists in the industry.

Her upcoming projects include the much-anticipated Nepali Film Maitighar, produced by Rohit Adhikari and Nakali Ra Jhilke.
