Maddy Murphy

Maddy Murphy is a multi-award-winning actress in addition to being a writer, director, and producer. Since graduating Magna Cum Laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University, where she received a B.A. in Theatre Arts with a Concentration in Musical Theatre, she was cast in multiple New York theatre productions and received high praise for her work in award-winning film, Miss Freelance (2019). She since moved to LA, made her way into the voiceover world via audiobooks and ADR, and even created her own web series during the pandemic. This led her to begin her own femme-focused production company Mind the Gap Media, dedicated to telling female and non-binary centered stories that educate and inspire while also entertaining. Having written and directed works for her and her friends to star in since she was 8 (comedy always being a favorite genre), Maddy has been more than up to the challenge of taking on multiple roles on a project and creating her own work. She most recently wrote, directed, produced and starred in [Loosen Up: The Short (2023)], a passion project of hers that is making its way through the festival circuit.
