Biography

Lynn Hegarty is an award-winning director and writer working in television drama. Over an extensive career she has directed programs for all the Australian free to air networks as well as international partners ZDF, the BBC and more recently Amazon Prime and Acorn. Recent directing credits include Back to the Rafters, a six part mini-series for Amazon Prime, the award-winning period drama A Place To Call Home for Seven/Foxtel, Ms Fishers Modern Murder Mystery for Seven Network and Between Two Worlds, a Seven Studios Original drama starring leading UK actress Hermione Norris.

Her graduation film at Swinburne School of Film and Television The Seannachie was nominated for Best Short Fiction at the Australian Film Institute. Her next film, the one-hour comedy drama How Wonderful won the Australian Human Rights Award for Best Drama and was nominated for Best International Dramatic Special at the ACE Awards.
