- In the 1999 CART FedEx Championship Series, Dario Franchitti scored 212 points and finished tied with Colombia's Juan Pablo Montoya. Franchitti was the runner-up because the tiebreaker was the number of wins: three for Franchitti and seven for Montoya, the champion.
