Biography

Blake Emmons was born on August 2, 1944 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He was an actor, known for The Golden Girls (1985), Nashville 99 (1977) and Funny Farm (1974). He died in March 2026 in Saskatchewan, Canada.

Country music singer and television personality, co-hosted a nationally syndicated Nashville music program.

A veteran himself, Emmons helped organize the Wounded Warrior Weekend in Nipawin, an event that brought more than 100 soldiers from across Canada and the United States together to fish, golf, and connect as part of their rehabilitation and recovery from PTSD.

Part of the first TeleMiracle in 1977, helping launch what would become one of the province's most enduring annual fundraisers.
