Sophie Darel was born on July 1, 1944 in Paris, France. She is an actress, known for New Generation (1979), Otari 17 (1965) and Système 2 (1975). She was previously married to Bernard Golay.

In 1995, Sophie Darel released the album "C'était les Années Bleues" where she recorded "C'est si bon" in duet with Evelyne Leclercq and "Maître Pierre" in duet with Pierre Perret. These two songs were composed by Henri Betti in 1947 ("C'est si bon") and 1948 ("Maître Pierre") and are his two greatest hits.
