Jan August was born in 1904 in New York, USA. He was an actor, known for Piano Rhythm (1949), Audition for August (1950) and Mohawk Showroom (1949). He died in 1976 in New York, USA.

Pianist, xylophonist and band leader, with a penchant for Latin-style music. He was featured on Broadway with Jerry Murad and the Harmonicats in "Pal Joey". August had several hit recordings, notably 'Misiriou' in 1947, as well as 'Malaguena' and 'Oya Negra'.
