Biography

Shiori Itō was born on May 17, 1989 in Kanagawa, Japan. She is a director and producer, known for Black Box Diaries (2024), Yuparo My Beautiful Dying City and Temple Family (2021).

In 2017 she published her memoir "Black Box" about her rape by Noriyuki Yamaguchi, one of Japan's most prominent television journalists and biographer of Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe.

Has two younger siblings.

In high school she was an exchange student in Kansas.

Grew up in Kawasaki, Japan.
