Biography

Chiu-Feng Yuan was born on July 15, 1924 in Harbin, China. He is a director and writer, known for Duel at the Supreme Gate (1968), Duel in Black Dragon Street (1961) and The Ghost (1972).

After a brief stint making films for his own Independent production company, veteran studio director Yuan Chiu Feng returned to Shaw Brothers at the behest of movie mogul Run Run Shaw to helm the production managing operations vacated by his predecessor Raymond Chow who left to start up his own, the cross-town rival Golden Harvest studios in Hong Kong during early 1970.
